Write your comment on the Director-General’s message on the occasion of the International Day of Peace, 21 September 2017. Write what you think, what you agree or disagree with, what should be done to achieve peace in the world?
First of all I’d like to say I absolutely agree with this message on the occasion of the International Day of Peace, because I’m a very peaceful and cheerful person and also I enjoy the idea about the sustainable world. Moreover I really catch the fancy of this part : “ The barriers to peace are complex and steep — no one country can solve them alone. Doing so requires new forms of solidarity and joint action, starting as early as possible”. Due to the fact that people must control themselves,because if everyone will do only good things then the whole world will be full of Peace and happiness. So I hope that after this message and my comment people will reflect about their actions.
I absolutely agree with this speech. But to be honest I don't want to say basic things like "oh oh the international day of peace is so important because we must be kind" and blah-blah-blah. Peace on the whole planet consists of, first of all, ability of thinking of different people who live on this planet. If everyone will be listening to that demagogy which is told us every day on the TV, people will think that nothing depends on them and everything will be done by those who is sitting "upwards". Like president or someone else. So we need to think and we need to do something what can be done on our own. If something will do a little of a big deal, that big deal isn't seem like something big and hard, huh? One my friend said one thing that I will remember all my life. It tells us "Smile and do", so that we need to do beautiful things, which can do our world better, with smiles on our faces.
Well, i agree with Ms Irina Bokova (Director-General of UNESCO),that we should find new ways to achieve peace in the world,that all countries should unite to solve their problems (because «The barriers to peace are complex and steep, no one country can solve them alone»),but actually we won't have peace (never!), because there always will be people with different opinions,with different plans and so on.We don't know,maybe in 2040s new political ideology will born(like Nazism in 1920s),thats why we should live by today and enjoy our lifes!
Yuriy, I totally agree with you. It’s true that we will never have peace in the world. And in my opinion, there are 2 reasons for this. Firstly, nature made it so that it is impossible to find something identical in the world. You can’t find the same butterflies or stones and same with people. There are no people that have completely identical aims during their life. So, there always will be men who will have conflicting aims for other persons. Secondly, most of you know that president isn’t the highest position in the country. There are a few people who control the world and nobody knows them. And they can’t make that peace and prosperity are everywhere in the world because it’s impossible. We can’t change something in large volumes so we must value every minute of our life and try to improve it.
I partially agree with it. Yeah, of course, nowadays there is new “forces of division that spread hatred and intolerance” that make our world worse and poorer. Especially I agree that this new strength poisons people who can’t achieve themselves during their life. For example, ISIS, which always violates tranquility in the world. Although, the word ‘strength’ doesn’t suit to ISIS because strength is something powerful that helps people to achieve something, move forward to development. Of course, ISIS’s actions is a part of world politic that no ordinary man can change but we must to maintain at a good level society that surrounds us and even improve it to have a worthy life.
The International Day of Peace is a very important holiday. It promotes respect and safety. On the International Day of Peace people all over the world take part in different activities dedicated to peace. Organizations such as UNESCO show their support for the event. According to the article, they play a huge role in creating Peace. "This guides all of UNESCO's action to build peace through education, freedom of expression..." In my opinion, peace can only be created if we fight all the problems together. "The barriers to peace are complex and steep..." For example, the problem of terrorism was mentioned in the article. I think, terrorism has always been a serious issue and it's future is quite alarming. That's why all of the governments should impose very strict controls. All in all, global peace can only be achieved if everyone takes an action.
Well, I think that peaceful would is our usual dream. Our world never won't be as peaceful and calm as when first people appered. There a lot of different laws and rules that people should respect. But always when there will be a law, there will be persons who will broke it. Is it really so hard to create a unique world without wars and terrorism? Actually yes. What could we do to improve or just to save our world ? Firstly, to solve social problems such as education, health care, famine in poor countries (Africa, Asia). Secondly,we can improve our ecological level thanks to growing up trees,animal security.
I agree with Irina,who said that there no countries where all that problems will be improved. In my own opinion,we never won't have a peaceful would,but whe can try to improve it.

I like this "Smile and do" motto. Being gloomy and passive will definetle not leads us to peace and understanding.
